This bird sounds similar to the American Robin and Scarlet Tanager. But its appearance is unmistakable, an icon of the west. Beautiful Scarlet Tanager at the stream yesterday! This is one of my favorite migratory birds to look for in the spring!! They are just breathtakingly beautiful in my opinion!
