An Indian rat snake was rescued from inside a washing machine at a ground-floor home in Azad Nagar, Andheri (West), after residents spotted the reptile and alerted naturalist and wildlife photographer Prabhu Swami on January 3, 2026. Responding around 8 pm, Swami found the non-venomous snake coiled inside the appliance.
