Maybe because it’s so widely recognised that it stressed me out, but I didn’t really enjoy playing it. Sure it’s a hauntingly beautiful piece, sure it’s one of Tchaikovsky’s most recognized musical masterpieces, but I just couldn’t quite connect to this piece the way I normally connect to the emotive, passionate pieces.
