In mid-December, swan volunteers noticed a swan with an injured leg at Wye Marsh. The unbanded swan was taken into the care of the National Wildlife Centre. She had a leg fracture, but because it was partially healed, it was not possible to reset the bone. After showing some improvement in her mobility, the swan was returned to Wye Marsh this past Monday. Thanks to Trumpeter Swan Conservation Ontario, she now has wing tag number U17, which will help us track her movements over time. We are hopin
