The Knoxville area featured nine teams in the TSSAA girls basketball state tournament. Three Knoxville-area players were named Ms. Basketball finalists in their respective classes. The Knoxville area owned the girls basketball TSSAA state tournament with the biggest storylines of the event.

She will remain at the school through May and assist in the search for her replacement, according to a release from the school.
