Thousands of model train enthusiasts once again made the pilgrimage to West Springfield for the “Railroad Hobby Show” put on by the Amherst Railway Society.

Now celebrating its 42nd year, the event organised by the Falkirk Model Railway Club is one of Scotland’s most popular annual exhibitions, drawing enthusiasts and families from across the country.

Dennis Lakomy has been collecting and running model trains since his dad gave him his first model train set in 1962. They are on display in his home near Port Huron and include an operating layout.
