All westbound lanes of I-80 have been shut down in the East Bay near Hercules Thursday morning after a reported police shooting of a man on the highway, causing a massive traffic backup.

Following a stolen vehicle pursuit, one person was hospitalized after being shot during a police shooting in the La Presa neighborhood of Spring Valley on Thursday afternoon. Police are asking that people steer clear of the intersection of Jamacha Road and Gillespie Drive during the investigating.
