Falcons to interview former longtime QB and NFL MVP Matt Ryan for new president of football position
Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank says former quarterback Matt Ryan will be one of the candidates interviewed for the newly created position of president of football.
The Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons have requested to interview San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, according to The MMQB's Albert Breer.
NFL teams must also abide by the league’s Rooney Rule while conducting both coach and executive interviews. Established in 2003 and named after former Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney, the rule was put in place to increase diversity in leadership across the NFL.

Two more NFL teams have requested to interview 49ers DC Robert Saleh
The San Francisco 49ers have now had three teams reach out to them for permission to interview Robert Saleh for their head coach openings.
Those coaches must wait until Jan. 26, when either they were eliminated from the playoffs or have a bye week before the Super Bowl. Coaches on the Super Bowl teams are allowed to be interviewed through Feb. 1 but are forbidden from talking to other teams after that until Feb. 9, the day after the Super Bowl.

Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo will interview soon with the Titans and Giants for their head coaching openings. Anarumo, 59, has been a regular in head coaching interviews for the past couple of seasons. “I’d be lying to you if I said that down the road that wasn’t something that would be a career goal,” Anarumo said earlier this season.
