Apple's new MacBook Neo could help the company grow notebook shipments by nearly 8% this year, even as the broader laptop market faces a hefty downturn, according to a new report from TrendForce. The research firm estimates global notebook shipments will fall 9.

Still, Apple’s colorful, relatively affordable MacBook Neo isn’t doing anything you haven’t seen before. Instead, the Mac maker is offering what may become one of the best deals in laptops today. The MacBook Neo starts at $600.

The MacBook Neo is a new laptop from Apple that is sure to be a big hit because it comes in at a much lower price than the MacBook Air, starting at $599/£599 compared to the MacBook Air’s $1,099/£1,099. If the price isn’t enticing enough, then the colorful chassis, available in silver, indigo, blush and citrus is bound to be popular.
