Longtime Mariners play-by-play broadcaster Rick Rizzs will retire at the end of the 2026 season after his 41st year in the booth in Seattle, the franchise announced Tuesday. The 72-year-old Rizzs was hired by the Mariners in 1983 to pair with Hall of Fame broadcaster Dave Niehaus.

The Seattle Mariners will enter 2026 with more expectations than in the last two-and-a-half decades of the franchise's history.
