The Israeli military has launched a “large-scale” operation in Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank, deploying hundreds of soldiers and heavy machinery in a move that has paralysed the city’s southern districts.

The US and Israel, the first country to sign a joint statement in this field with the US, launch a strategic AI and technology partnership, strengthening security and innovation ties between the two nations.

The program aims to bring 2,000 doctors to Israel by 2029 to help relieve the country’s increasingly dire physician shortage, with support from the Marcus Foundation, the Gottesman Fund, Jewish Federations of North America, the Azrieli Foundation and the Arison Foundation.

The return of all remaining hostages, alive or dead, has been a central part of the first phase of the ceasefire that took effect on Oct. 10
