On the making of this list: I’ve been trying to stay up to date on video essays for a while, and have been contributing to lists and/or voting in polls about the best videos made each year since 2018.
Instead of watching a TV show nowadays, I will instead find an “appropriately unhinged” (a la Mike's Mic) video essay on YouTube that will summarise the show and analyse it within an inch of its life.
