Per Pelissero, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid loved the energy that Bieniemy brought to the staff and is bringing him back to Kansas City. With offensive coordinator Matt Nagy’s contract expiring and him taking head coaching interviews, the Chiefs are ready to turn back to Bieniemy.
O’Shea is entering his 30th year of coaching and his 23rd at the pro level. He got his NFL start with the Chiefs as a volunteer assistant in 2003, which quickly turned into an assistant special teams coach gig. O’Shea spent the next three years in Minnesota as an offensive assistant.
Chad O’Shea, who was part of the Chiefs’ staff two decades ago, will rejoin Kansas City after spending the previous six seasons as Cleveland Browns wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network first reported the move.

Nagy, who took over play-calling duties and the OC role in 2023, has been linked to multiple head coaching vacancies across the league, with teams such as the Tennessee Titans reportedly scheduling in-person interviews, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
O'Shea joined the Browns coaching staff in 2020, when Kevin Stefanski was hired, and was one of the few assistant coaches who stayed on Stefanski's staff throughout his tenure with the Browns. O'Shea served as the wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator for the Browns.
